Hmm...

12 inch 1024 x 768 touch screen
VIA Nano
4 GB flash drive
Wifi
Webcam
1 x USB
Ethernet
VGA out
4 cell battery ( 2 hours )
317mm x 246mm x 33mm, 1360g

Target price $299 ( up from earlier $200 )

" The software: currently we’re running a full install of Ubuntu Linux on the prototype with a custom Webkit browser. A lot of the work done to date has been on the drivers and the virtual keyboard, which you can see in the videos. The software has been created by Singapore-based Fusion Garage, who continue to work with Louis on the feature set and user experience. "

Is it really as "cool" as it was said to be??

I have to say i'd rather get Amteks T10L if i wanted a cheap tablet... or one of the new convertible Eee PCs..

HP Mini 2150 coming with 3G. Bigger ones to follow

HP will update their Mini 2140 with 3G in June. The new model will be called 2150.

2150 is targeted for enterprise markets.

Digitimes is also reporting that:

" HP will launch a new 11.6-inch notebook in the second quarter and a 13.3-inch low-cost model in June. Both will be part of the Mini-note family and will possibly use Intel's Atom Zxx series processors (Menlow). "

Digitimes

.. netbook sizes are definitely growing. I hope some of them will be still kept as small as possible for mobility.

How-to: 3G to Dell Mini 9. Not so easy way..

You need to use Novatel EU850D for this mod as it has SIM slot on it

Solder 4 wires, 3.3V to pin 52 ( or pin 2 ), USB lines to pins 36 and 38 and ground to pin 4 ( or pin 50 ).

Then solder the other ends to the matching pins on the pcie traces. Use shorter cables than i did... This photo was taken when i was testing it..

Then tape the solders and the area under the 3G modem. Connect the second antenna cable from wifi module to the 3G modem.

Be mobile!

Novatel EU850D at MobilX

Mobilink software with on/off

If you are not happy using wifi antenna, contact me, as I got more film antennas I have used on other 3G mods

Aigo updating their MID.. adding Windows 7 too

It would be UMPC then... right?

It would mean more storage and faster cpu/more ram at least...

My 2 cents:

Keep the current shape/form
Make it just a bit bigger to accept 20Whr battery
Update the screen to 1024 x 600

Pretty please!
