Based on the eee 901
screen should be the size of 901.
2gb RAM
touchscreen
all the connectivity issues jkk said
matte white/black, shiny sucks
ability to use gestures more in programs
touchpad buttons that dont click, i want it to feel like pushing a tiny cushion.
less bright led lights, maybe just fot batt and wireless on thee side
win xp
thinner
no battery protrusion. If you have to make it a kind of triangular base with curved edges
less frame around the screen

Nice idea, but most of the wishes won't be realised, i think. They'll release all new features step by step as they've done it yet...

You cant reinvent the wheel, this is just another way to make customers remember the Asus brand by associate it with something pleasing. But since people dont think much these days it will work and the Eee brand will be bigger than *iApple* soon. Are those companys members of the *Church* of Scientology already ?

Well I guess they certainly will pick some interesting idea.

For them it's like the whole Internet does a brainstorming session for their R&D, for free.

Then of course they have a lot of ideas to choose from, which can be a real time waster, but if they find good ideas, it's them now. As noted in the agreement when you register.

All those feature are great but are you willing to pay for them?

All they need to do is use the insides of the current series of 901, add touch screen, 3G and a swivel screen. If they made such a device it, IMO, would corner the market just as the 700 series did.

A swivel screen is something that would hurt the cost, the weight and the compactness of the 901.

I'm not saying "no" to a swivel screen which I would find great, but you should be aware of all these factors before asking for it.

However touchscreen is a really easy and cheap addition which doesn't hurt.

About 3G, it's just a matter of putting the card in the device, which is ready for it. You'd just have to add the cost of the 3G card to the device total cost.

900ha except with an SSD (but standard size and sata format instead of pci-e) with possibility of an HD if people want it. And matte body. bluetooth would be nice too.
