nice job, JKK.

In the near future Asus will do the job themself:

I think the Eee PC is all about mobility, and the Internet experience when you are outside is so important on the device. WiMAX and HSDPA built-in will be a goal for us. I think these kinds of features will be out in Q3 2008. We have the module for HSDPA and a lot of carriers and telecoms could take advantage of this. We will put the module in the machines when our partnerships with Telecoms are in place.

That is the only thing missing on the EeePC! With some European countries having 95% coverage and sppeds up to 7.2Mbit. True mobility is having 3G and 4-5 hours of battery life!

ECS is in the process of establishing partnerships with mobile telecoms service providers at the moment for the release of its G10IL. The trouble is that these kind of relationships mean that hardware will only be available through lucrative contracts (for the comms) and that the hardware will very likely be locked to one provider.

Congrats to JKK though - nice mod.

If you accept I will send my my Eeeeeee :)

Do you remove the 2nd SSD for the 3G? I kinda need the 2nd SSD as I install my programs there...

IF you replace the 2nd SSD with a runcore SSD, you will be able to mount the USB connector on the provided micro usb connector on the drive

Hi...
I've EEE 900 (4Gb + 16Gb) model, full XP professional installed (page file disabled) and a ZTE mf636 3G modem (in my country IMEI's of communication devices are controlled and you can't use a GSM / Data over GSM device without registering it. So I needed to buy a 3G modem from my country)..

Anyways,
I actually have never "opened" my EEE, so i don't know where I can squish this modem in EEE.

Can some one help me ?
BTW, I don't want to loose my 16Gb hdd nor Wi-Fi nor web-cam..

please give me some advice...
