Asus/Xandros doesn't upgrade (so far) the applications like other Linux distros have done already. F.i.: you can upgrade Firefox to version 3 like published on the eeeuser.com, but I want do it "easy" with the add/remove software icon, or with the command apt-get.

I opened mine last night to install more RAM and noticed that ASUS didn't include the ZIF socket/connector so that you can't upgrade with a regular HD if you need in the future, only larger SSD.

I am interested to know how the 16GB SSD performs. Is it the slow SSD like those in the new 900 16GB?

1. Is there any report of dual boot Xandros/Ubuntu /Windows?
2. Does more RAM (2.GB) help much or not that much?

JKK, I have been looking forward to getting a Linux 901, so I was quite disturbed to hear your comments on the Linux version (versus the XP version).

Did you really find the battery life to be shorter in Linux than XP?

yes, I do. others have found it too:

It all depends how u use it. I would say that on web use with wifi the difference is still minimal.. maybe 30mins..
