...there was not much specials inside it but as u notice there is 2.5 inch hd which are easy to buy...

.. that hd place could be used for hddpa or evdo modem if u would replace it with smaller 1.8 drive.

.. or if u boot from sd or cf.. ubuntu mobile anyone ?

I already booted Ubuntu on it from a USB drive. Works like a charm, except I cna't get the resolution correct, it stays stuck at 800x600.
However Ubuntu is waaaaay faster than the preinstalled Vista, which makes me want to install Ubuntu or XP on this one (without erasing the 4.4GB partition that actually contains the Vista DVD contents)...

jkk,

Did you see any internal USB ports to which a HSDPA or EVDO modem can be connected? How would you connect such a modem?

u would need to solder usb modem to left side usb port..

Is that 2.5" HD PATA or SATA? I'd like to put an SSD in mine to see if I can boost the performance on that "dog" :) Also, did you post the specific details on how to disassemble it? Thanks.
