If you were thinking about getting the 32GB SSD from Eee 1000 to another Eee, you shoud note that it's not good for OS use, but pretty fast on reading..

8GB one would be good on my 901.. hmm.. I got a word that they both ( 8BG and 32GB on Eee 1000 ) cost about $100 ..

That last picture shows the different sizes.

Smaller one is the internal one ( 4GB on 901, 8GB on 1000 )

Bigger one is the one you can easily access from bottom RAM door
( 8/16GB on 901, 32GB on 1000 )

It looks like this HDD adapter will fit to 901 too...

UPDATE: It's actually a 2.5 inch drive on 1000H.. and the connector if different... so it will not fit to 901.

Hmmm... SIM card slot pins there too..

This is not a mobile computer like Eee 700/900 series are.

It's much bigger, it weights 1.5 kilos and has spinning HDD..

Keyboard seems to be much bigger so this one might be good for those who didn't like the original one..

price:

Eee PC 1000(H)with XP and 80GB HDD: NT$18,988 or about $625

Eee PC 1000 with Linux and 40GB SSD: NT$19,988 or about $658


UPDATE: it seems to have the same keyboard as Asus U2E which is 277 mm wide..
