Ooh, I can't wait! Jkk, are you going to upgrade to this new 900 when it comes out, or hold out for one with an Atom processor?

I'm not a "hold out" type ;)
I will get it as soon as possible!

I don't see Atom giving anything else than battery life..

I'm pretty sure AsusTek is not very happy right now. FCC managed to leak all the info on the machine to the competition the very moment that info was submitted to them (at least judging from the "submit" date).

While it might not be Atom, it could be a core solo or core 2 solo, no??

nope, it's the same celeron as in 7 inch models..

Two finger zooming scrolling, superb (Mac air like hehe), but wait a minute what is that; a brick adaptor why? https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=919351&native_or_pdf=pdf (the link is the same jkkmobile shows, it shows a brick)

I'm getting this the second it comes out and putting OS X on it. Apple will be sorry that they didn't make a "true" subnotebook.

Does the addition of this multi-touch pad indicate that there will be no touch screen? I keep seeing conflicting reports regarding the touch screen. Can anyone identify a touch screen controller in these photographs?

Agreed with JKK about the Atom processor. The Celeron will work just fine for me. I'm also more excited about the multi-touch trackpad than I am about the touchscreen. Though this may put me in a minority, I would rather not lose image quality to a touchscreen.

jkk, do you know by how much the Atom processor will actually increase the battery life?

Great thing you are doing!!
What about 13.3"? Can I get a touch screen kit for that size. I have a Toshiba Satellite

Thanks

will the 900 be as modable as the 701? Got enough space to squeeze in mods? I'm not sure if I should wait for the 900 or go for the 701. The only reason for me to get the eeepc is for the mods only.

with the prossesor in the 900 could it be replaced with the on from the 901 model, or is the chip set or motherboard not compatable if that makes sense. i know that the process is fiddly, i just want to know if it is possible.
thanks
