Quanta demoes Android smartbook and tablet










Looks pretty nice and slim... but Android Market missing again..

Just like Acers Android netbook and many other non phone android devices, you may not get "full Google goodness". Missing all the G stuff like maps and no access to Market means head aches...





This tablet tries to be all in one device...

Android on smartbooks is hit & miss.. Ubuntu ARM is much much more logical choice than Android.

the problem seems to be google, and their reasons for "approving" a device running android.

i lay the blame squarely on the android division CEO, or whatever his title is...

this is too close to the same size of a much more functional regular netbook, it needs too be MUCH smaller. get rid of the touchpad & add a touchscreen (swivel too) for navigation.

smartbooks should be modeled after the Sony P
