Good news! All drivers etc. working on Aigo MID seems to be playing nice with Gigabyte M528 too.
As you can see on the last pic, M528 has Option's 3G HSPA modem on it..
Still missing wifi and chipset drivers, but I just got news that they are coming soon!
Thanks Igor again for remote hacking! ;)
Edit: M528 comes with Linux only without XP drivers...

Gigabyte M528 to be available next month
Finally MIDs are getting ready to ship...
Gigabyte M528 will be the first Atom based MID to ship and on specs wise, it's looking good;
4.8 inch touch screen, slide out keyboard, SSD and 3G HSDPA..
It's pricing has got mixed feelings, as it's looking to be $750.. which is 50% more than Intel has been telling us.
But if you compare it to other small mobile computers with 3g, it's actually a really good start.
I will be taking it my testing rounds as soon as possible, so keep your eye on this small but capable computer.
Thanks Steve for digging the official info up

Unboxing and hands-on with Aigo MID
Joe has been playing with Aigo MID and posted his findings.. Aigo MID uses the same hardware as Gigabyte M528, but it has Midinux OS where M528 has Ubuntu Mobile
Click to see the video and pictures
"I have never play a small X86 device likes this. Compact, Stylish, Innovative and Entertaining.
The Midinux GUI is easy to play, easy to learn and easy to use (Hahaa~~). Most of the application you need may find in this small device.
The Intel Atom Z500 is not a high performance processor but seems work smoothly in Midinux (and Windows XP). All the thing govern my orientation to get one is the price!!"

$500 MID will cost you 1500 dollars! Something must be wrong
Yep, Intel said that the target price for MIDs is $499.. How come the first price we see now is $1500? Is it Origami again?

First reseller is now listing Gigabyte M528 MID at their site and all the features are looking good as expected but the pricing looks unbelievable..
1,549.00 AUD.. $1450 US... 941 Euros.. 750 UK pounds. !!!
I really hope this is just a mistake.
UPDATE: Moaning helped a bit.. Price just dropped to 1199 AUD.. Still long way to $499

Gigabyte M528 MID, Ubuntu Mobile UI
Playing with the user interface..
I think it was pretty good. I was first a bit worried about so many Linux distributions on these MIDs but Intel's focus on Moblin is looking good..
