Gigabyte M528 with XP

Good news! All drivers etc. working on Aigo MID seems to be playing nice with Gigabyte M528 too.

As you can see on the last pic, M528 has Option's 3G HSPA modem on it..

Still missing wifi and chipset drivers, but I just got news that they are coming soon!

Thanks Igor again for remote hacking! ;)

Edit: M528 comes with Linux only without XP drivers...

Why don't they add a mouse pointer on this device. It would then be a very complete device.

Maybe the power botton could also be a mouse pointer and pressing it would act like a click. Better yet what about a pearl mouse like on a Blackberry.

Could that be added?

I've been patiently waiting for this device to come out with XP drivers but have been disappointed.

Had enough waiting and will probably be looking at the Umid M1 instead with XP drivers and better specs at launch.

Naaa.. the Umid M1 has this weird "japan clamshell girly" design... not doing it for me...

XP in so nice on the AIGO, but still would love to have all the drivers, would be nice to have everything working. Anyone know the smallest XP install possible using thinks like Nlite or other applications to remove unwanted files from XP?

PLease post best install for reduced foot print need all the space until the Mini SD or MICRO-SD is working

Micro SD is working fine under XP on the M528!
Using an 8gb sdhc class6 card without problems!

It seems that the 4gb ssd is split in two 2gb drives.
XP installs on the first drive and puts pagefile on second drive, not leaving much space for apps...

Tiny XP Platinum is pretty small... don't know if it will work.. i believe a 16gb or 32gb card would be a better choice then nlited xp...

@Joao

yep, the bios update is needed, everything else done the same as on aigo...

Has anyone tried to use and nlited xp version on the aigo? I used to do a version for my eee 701 and everything was working great. Only needed about 500mbs for installation.

Yes, I used the nlite version on the Aigo and it works great. There is also a new xp bios as well as USB port drivers to connect to another pc and transfer files.
