Does the Mugen battery have the same issue with "Jump Starting" as the CameronSino?

Also, you should have taken a look at the 10400mah batteries on Ebay, they appear only slightly larger then the Mugen.

no issues with Mugen.

I think those 10400mAh are way bigger and heavier...

You know, even though the shield thing to "protect" the Eee PC is a little silly, think if they started making them opaque with designs - you could start a whole business on the skinning of the Eee PC, if you wanted to, kind of like what Nokia began with their phones.

P.S. Are you going to mod your 900 with a touch? (I am assuming you are getting one) If yes, will you please put up the video?

Dear JKK, thanks for the review. do you know if the Mugen would work with the 900 model? and also, i tried to look for Mugen on ebay i couldn't find it. can you post a link where we can buy it? thanks alot!

Erin, yep, I.m going to buy it, mod it and make videos of it. ;)

Yep, Mugen should work fine on 900 too..

jkk: Whoa! Thanks for the two battery reviews. And ESPECIALLY for the Crystal Case review. I'd heard of that and went to Brando's site to see but couldn't make out what it was!

Yeah, I'd like to get that if I get an EeePC. I could then just plop the EeePC in my shoulder bag and not have to bother with a sleeve or other case.

I'll be linking to this.

Thanks for the review, jkk. The Mugen battery looks great, even if it is rather pricey.

One question: How much heavier is the Mugen battery than the one that comes with the Eee? How much weight will it add to the package.

Great review jkk! It's always the nicer looking battery that cost more. Hopefully, the battery supply issue gets fixed soon. I hope to see price drops for the batteries so I can have a spare waiting on standby. I wonder if there's a standalone battery charger so I don't have to charge the spare battery while I'm using the Eee.

Got my 6600 mAh battery today.
Other than in former reviews stated, my 8G is starting without this "jump-starting" issue. Maybe this is due to newer firmware in my 8G or Cameron Sino changed the design of the battery controller...

Does the 6600 battery needs to be jump started everytime you want to switch the EEE PC on? Or is it only required the first time you plug the battery into the back of the EEPC and switch on?

JKK said...

only first time..

I also heard that new ones are fixed.
