Will the Wind/1000H clones ever stop coming? Looks exactly the same, but with a smaller keyboard. Way to have an oversized netbook that's as unusable as the small ones.

Rather give a 6-cells battery ...

Bäh HDD i only love fast SSD in Netbooks, no more HDD please. But looking is nice. The Specs should be 1024x768 by a 10 inch Display and 6 Cell Battery please.

so you only like slow storage in your netbook because none of them are as fast as a HDD right now. give it a year and the good SSD's will price drop.

take a look on the right side ot this page and click, there you can buy real good ssd and fast of course too, first read, look and then post ;-)

i dont like hdd in netbook not only cause speed, cause power needed and safty of course (shock resistant) ! ssd is the future in that devices, hdd is gone.

Regarding fast SSDs in netbooks. None of the netbooks have really fast SSDs. Some of them like the one on the Acer Aspire One are almost as slow as SDHC cards. It is probably better to buy a netbook with a 2.5 inch SATA 5400 RPM hard drive rather than one with a proprietary SSD module. When SSDs with the same standard form factor become affordable, you can replace your original HD with a real SSD and not be stuck with slow ones that come with the Eee PC and ACER Aspire One. Even the slowest 2.5 inch MLC SSD drive (excluding the horrendous Transcend 32GB drive) is much faster than any of the netbook stock SSD drives.

it's indeed a bump in the market right now.
With specs just below average, and a price slightly above, this device with the only variation 'a cover on the screen' is most certainly not going to make it in the market.

the market is flooded. It's probably a good thing to show of their 'piece of engineering',to basically copy what already is, and probably they expect to even get money of it too....

I suspect they won't even sell 30.000 of them.

I mean, why would anyone buy this? because it has a cover that adds to weight and cost?

Specs are below average; nothing out of the ordinary...

Its not all in the speed of hdd or ssd it is a safety (shock resistant) question too. i prefer ssd as jtj said too. they are not too slow for normal users. jtj will make his one test with a slc ssd. i have three 900 in work and i dont want to have hdd cause they have a rough life ;-)
