Very nice looking unit for the price. Are those the mouse buttons on either side of the pad? That's a bit odd.

nice very nice,question for jkk could xp be ran on this aspire without the 80g hd. im just sold on ssd becuse you never know when a bump,drop,or slip of the hand, and just like that its all over

yes, xp would run just fine on 8GB SSD

Unfortunately, XP does NOT run fine on ths SSD. There appears to be a driver incompatibility with XP and how it talks to the 8GB SSD. I trust that Acer will have a fix soon, but if they want to push their 80GB version - maybe not... XP will run, but not well. It is quite unresponsive whenever there is any continous SSD access.

I am still undecided whether I will be returning mine to the retailer...

Shame, shame, Acer!
