It does look very good but specs wise I am not too impressed. Still looking forward to buying the eee pc 1000.

OK, better pics. That keyboard looks like a big improvement over the flat U110! Wanna fondle!

Too few ports (i.e. usb) IMHO. Unless integrated EVDO Rev A/HS(D/U)PA comes as an optional addition.

When is somebody going to build a netbook that has a trackpoint instead of a touchpad? You'd have thought Lenovo would've been first.

Anonymous said...

I doubt Lenovo would put a trackpoint on anything but a Thinkpad.

I just got Wind and I like it

Nice netbook, but touchpad is little bit small especially for multi-touch. Obviously it could be much bigger. And then why there is a scrollbar area on it?

It seems to be an near shipping prototype to me.
(like mentioned on the sticker on pic 4)

That touchpad looks like a more whiteish version of that used on the x300 and possiblie
isn´t the final one for the shipping units.

Sorry - but doesn't this have Vista?

Don't ever want to use Vista, not ever.

This mast be 3-sell battery on pics. I am afraid 6-sell battery will spoil the netbook appearance as it do for Aspire One.

up to 3h :)) it's mean only 1.5h :)) i wont buy this one :)

Does anyone have an idea as to how the Lenovo S10 here compares to the Asus Eee 1000, assuming both are running Windows XP Pro?

I'd be interested in speed and battery life.

This is now available for order at the Lenovo site.

Is it just me or the minilaptop looks really big compared to the female model holding it?

I have the Eee 1000H and love it. I do like lenovo's stuff and build quality, but this Eee is a rev 3 product and it's really great. The 6-cell battery hardly adds any bulk and lasts forever. The only issue I have is the fan bearings have an annoying hum to them. Almost gives me a headache...

can you put a runcore ssd on the s10?
